Chinese President assured with Filipino hospitality

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was assured that China President Xi Jinping will be welcomed with Filipinos’ warm hospitality. This was assured by President Aquino during Wang Yi’s courtesy call yesterday, Tuesday at the Music Room of the Malacañan Palace.

“The President mentioned that he welcomed the decision of President Xi Jinping to attend the APEC Summit,” Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma said in a statement.

“He assured the Foreign Minister that it is in the culture of the Filipinos as hosts to make our guests feel the warmth of Filipino hospitality,” Coloma added.

APEC Leaders’ Meeting next week in Manila will be attended by leaders of 21 member economies. APEC member economies are Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong-China, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam.
