President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD) said Party-list System will never be included in the new Philippine Constitution that will be crafted. “Itong Party-list, it will never come again,” the President told an audience in the wake of slain CAFGU-CAA member in Davao del Norte Friday. The CAFGU-CAA member was ambushed by the New People’s Army.
President Duterte said he will insist the removal of Party-list System on lawmakers who will craft the new constitution through a Constituent Assembly.
He said the Party-list system was abused. “Ang nananalo ngayon may pera, representing the what? The security guards? That’s the mockery of the law.”
“Kasi ikaw yung [may] pera, bibili ka ng ano dyan, ano ba yung ano mo, United Idiots Association, tatakbo, ayan,” the President said. “Nag-kalat kayo dyan. Kayong mga left nandiyan, marami kayo.”
Meanwhile, the President said he will be watching the lawmakers, as Constituent Assembly, craft the new constitution. “I will be there,” he said adding that he will not allow a constitution that is anti-Filipino. “I will not allow it, I will not allow it.”
He said he trusts that Senators and Congressmen where chosen by the people which is the essence of democracy.
