President Rodrigo Duterte said he will be re-orienting the country’s foreign policy.
“Re-orient ko iyong foreign policy. Hindi ko lang masalita noon, out of respect or I do not want a rift with America, but they have to go,” he said referring to US forces in Mindanao during the oathtaking of newly appointed officials Monday.
At the event the President showed photos of the Battle of Bud Dajo in 1906 where 600 Moro people where killed by American soldiers.
“This is really the massacre of Jolo – Bud Dajo. Look at the bodies there. Paano mag-forward. For as long as we stay with America, we will never have peace in that ano — might as well give it up, give it an independent – not only in Jolo, nandiyan si Ahmad Alonto, who was also appointed sa Mindanao Chairmanship. Maranao marami rin, sa Lanao. Pero walang Moro na nagsasalita nito ha, ever since. No Moro leader confronted eyeball-to-eyeball the Filipino,” he said.
“Kaya iyong mga special forces they have to go, they have to go [from] Mindanao, maraming mga puti doon, they have to go,” the President said. “Dito sa mapa. Mas lalong iinit, pagkakita ng Amerikano iyan, patayin talaga iyan. Kukunan ng ransom iyan, patayin.”
