President Rodrigo Duterte wants to get rid of a certain “Bravo” who according to him has established a government in Mindanao. “He’s popular to you, si t*** inang ‘tong, si Bravo. Meron na siya doong gobyerno sa Mindanao and most of constituents really are also Moros,” he said Saturday night during San Beda College of Law alumni homecoming.
An individual who is popular as Bravo in Mindanao is Commander Bravo. He is the commanding officer of Northeastern Mindanao Command of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
“If you commit a crime there, you will be jailed. He will arrest you if you are a drug pusher. You just pay him and he will hand you your sentence. They have the Shariah Law,” the President said. “Mag-utang ka. Bayad ka sa kanya P10,000. Sabihin niya doon sa libro niya, sa treasurer na, iyong P5,000 kanya.”
“Sabi ko, I will decide. Maghahanap ako ng Maranao, isip-isip ko si Dabs (Abdullah) Mamao, ayan o, iyong Presidential adviser for [overseas Filipino workers (OFW) affairs], siguro I’ll give you what, siguro mga 20 days to get rid of Bravo,” Duterte said.
“But one of these days, I said I’ll be forced to ask the security forces… unahin mo na ‘yan,” he said.
“In fairness to the Moro leaders, Murad and all, hate drugs – so that is really something we should appreciate,” the president said.
