Kim Jong Un: August 29 missile test ‘prelude to containing Guam’

August 30, 2017 by Joel Dizon

North Korea leader Kim Jong Un, in a report by North Korean state news agency Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), said that the August 29 Hwasong-12 ballistic missile test is the first step of the military operation of the Korean People’s Army in the Pacific and a meaningful prelude to containing Guam.

Hwasong-12 is an intermediate-range ballistic missile developed by North Korea.

KCNA said the ballistic rocket crossed the sky above Oshima peninsula of Hokkaido and Cape Erimo of Japan along the preset flight track and accurately hit the preset target waters in northern Pacific.

United States President Donald Trump said that all options are now on the table after the above mentioned ballistic missile test. “Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world,” he said.

“The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior,” Trump added.
