President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 17 during his visit to Ozamiz City Police headquarters in Misamis Occidental inspected confiscated and surrendered loose firearms.
He was joined by Philippine National Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa, Ozamiz City Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, and Interior and Local Government Acting Secretary Catalino Cuy.
President Duterte also talked to the police troops and and awarded the “Medalya ng Kadakilaan” to PNP personnel who conducted simultaneous Search Warrant operation resulting to the neutralization of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr. and 15 others, and to the arrest of another 15 individuals last July 30, 2017.
