The Philippine National Police (PNP) today conducted the pre-bid conference for its procurement of two (2) units of Single Engine Turbine Helicopter.
The submission and opening of bids is scheduled on September 21.
Helicopters to be acquired – as per specifications approved by National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) on August 4 this year – must have a hover ceiling of 6 thousand feet to 16 thousand feet.
NAPOLCOM also set the fuel capacity at 440 liters to 1,500 liters. It must also accommodate 2 pilots and minimum of 4 passengers.
As this develops, the PNP already sealed a contract with Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. for the delivery of one brand new rotary twin engine helicopter.
