“Is he now a US politician?” Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III said when asked to comment on Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s trip to United States. Trillanes reportedly met US Republican Senator Marco Rubio.
Pimentel is also on a foreign trip.
On Tuesday, in behalf of PDP-Laban, Pimentel signed a Memorandum of Understanding with United Russia, the largest and currently ruling party in Russia.
“Please direct questions [regarding his US trip] to Sen. Trillanes since I am abroad trying my best to develop, enhance, and strengthen PH relations with various countries,” Pimentel said.
“I hope no one else is wishing, or worse, working for ‘bad’ relations between PH and other countries like the US and EU members. If we love our country, we should always promote our beloved country’s best interest. Always,” Pimentel said.
