Hollywood actor Steven Seagal said President Rodrigo Duterte is a “very good president” and instrumental in making the Philippines safer.
Seagal is currently scouting locations in the country for his upcoming series ‘General Commander’.
When asked during a press conference on October 10 if he feels safe in the Philippines, Seagal said “I’m a big fan of the government, and I think Duterte is a very good president and he has been instrumental in making the Philippines a safer place.”
“I think what he’s done is very good in terms of trying to get the control back for the people,” he added. “I don’t feel like that this is a dangerous place.”
Seagal will play the role of Jake Alexander, an ex-CIA agent who will hunt “bad guys” to make the world a better place in the series ‘General Commander’ which will tackle drugs, crime, and corruption.
Seagal is also looking into shooting some scenes of his movie “Attrition” in the Philippines.
