Hollywood actor Steven Seagal on October 12 paid a courtesy call on President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang. Seagal is in the country scouting locations for his upcoming series ‘General Commander’ and movie “Attrition”.
Seagal was accompanied by former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson.
Prior to meeting Duterte, Seagal said in a press conference that “Duterte is a very good president and he has been instrumental in making the Philippines a safer place.”
“I think what he’s done is very good in terms of trying to get the control back for the people,” he added.
“Telling Seagal that movies are a reflection of life, President Duterte reiterated his strong stance against illegal drugs because it enslaves people to a form of synthetic chemical,” the Office of the President said.
