The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group with lead ship nuclear-powered supercarrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) completed the Maritime Counter Special Operations Force Exercise (MCSOFEX) 2017 with Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy and visited Busan on October 21.
According to United States Navy MCSOFEX 2017 focused on increasing the readiness of US and ROK forces and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula.
“This port visit is the perfect ending to this regularly scheduled exercise with our Republic of Korea Navy counterparts,” said Rear Admiral Marc Dalton, Commander Task Force 70.
“After building interoperability at sea, exchanging cultures on liberty is a great way to deepen the relationship between our sailors and our nations,” Dalton added.
The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on patrol in the US 7th Fleet area of operations to support security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific.
