The Philippine National Police (PNP) today, November 28 conducted bid opening for several procurement projects which seeks to acquire assault rifles, machine guns, and pistols.
For the acquisition of 5.56mm Basic Assault Rifles the PNP launched three (3) lots: Lot 1 for 8,170 units, Lot 2 for 698 units, and Lot 3 for 4,933 units.
According to MaxDefense Philippines, Nashe Enterprises was declared the lowest bidder for Lots 1 and 3 with its bid to supply South Korean Daewoo K2 rifles.
For Lot 2, Armscor was declared the lowest bidder with its bid to supply Israeli Emtan Karmiel MZ-4P rifles.
Delivery of these assault rifles will begin 180 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed with 90 days extension.
The PNP is also acquiring 21 Caliber .50 Heavy Machine Guns, and 9mm pistols (1,920 units for Lot 1; 10,000 units for Lot 2).
